“I’m Afraid of You” – “Karen Gone Wild” Calls Cops On Latinx Man After H-itting His Car

White women acting and turning to the officer to do their dirty work seems to be a whole genre of video now, so I have to ask: Why aren’t any of these white women watching them? Do they not know this is happening? How? You’d think after seeing behavior modeled for you again and again, plus the potential social media consequences, you’d adjust your behavior.

But no.

This video was posted to an Instagram page titled Karens Gone Wild, according to Raw Story. (See, there’s even a whole page JUST for these videos!) Anyway.

In the clip, a woman in a parking lot of a supermarket says she’s calling the officer, claiming she’s afraid of the Latinx man with whom she just had a minor fender bender. He’s asking for her insurance. (Are you starting to put things together?)

This scene supposedly was filmed in Santa Barbara, California, which may be one of the epicenters of Karen activity. The man filming says he just asked for the woman’s insurance because she dinged his side-view mirror with her car.” “I do want to give you the insurance I just gotta call 911 first,” the woman says then yells, “I’m afraid of you!”

Later in the video, she admits that she doesn’t have her proof of insurance with her. It’s not. Every time I see one of these videos, I’m just grateful that we have the technology to catch this roughness for future evidence.
