Houston copand Houston guilt Stoppers have reached out to the public for help identifying the suspect, who is wanted for inflame mugging with a armer. Authorities said the guilt happened on June 28 at a Valero gas station.
The 83-year-old sufferer had been reek a when the suspect punched him in the face and knocked him down. Surveillance footage then captured the suspect getting into the sufferer’s car, which had been left running.
The sufferer tried to stop the man from taking his car by getting in front of the vehicle, but the suspect began driving and ran the man over before fleeing the scene.
Authorities said the suspect was also caught on video returning to the store later that day while wearing a black shirt, black pants and a red bandanna on his head. The elderly sufferer’s car was later found on July 1.
The sufferer told investigators that he had made a purchase inside the store before the invasion and said he did not know the suspect or why he was targeted. Cop described the suspect as a black male between 20 and 30 years old. He is believed to be about six feet tall, weighing 180 to 200 pounds.
During the invasion he was wearing a black shirt and gray pants.
Houston guilt Stoppers has offered to pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the detain or charging of the suspect in the case. It is unclear whether the suffered wound during the incident.
