We have come across many celebrations. Some are birthdays and some are anniversaries and some celebrations are for achieving something that is big. But these celebrations are very normal when they are celebrated by normal people under normal circumstances.
But what about if these celebrations are celebrated by special people under special circumstances. Then the celebration becomes more than a special celebration.
Long ago in our neighborhood we attended a special marriage, and this marriage was a special one because it was between two persons who were suffering from the down syndrome.
Yes, the couple was suffering from the down syndrome, both the husband and the wife.
They were married about 24 years ago and were living ion our neighborhood since then. They were living a very blessed and a very happy life. They were also blessed with a son who is 18 today and is in his final year of graduation from the university. We were very amused when this morning we received an invitation from this special couple.
The invitation was regarding the celebration of their 24 years of marriage and they had decided to celebrate their 24th anniversary in style with great pomp and show. To our surprise they had organized the event in great style and we were surprised at the scale at which they had organized the event.
There was music and there was wine and there was dancing and also a great feast was laid down for the guests. The hosts were dressed in their best attire and even their son was elegantly dressed for the occasion. There were a number of guests from the neighborhood and a number of relatives from across the town.
Everyone was having a good time and all were enjoying the party. We wish this couple lot more such anniversaries and may God bless them with a long and happy life of togetherness.
