Atlanta Successfully Raises $50 Million To Provide Homes For Homeless – Video

In one of the recent press conferences the mayor of Atlanta has declared that they have finally achieved their goal of generation $50 million to give shelter and provide basic amenities to the homeless people.

The city has more than 3000 people living without a permanent shelter on their head and was becoming a major hurdle in providing good living conditions.

Now with the concept of rapid rehousing everyone in Atlanta will have a home to live. A city can only progress when its residents get good living conditions and their basic necessities are fulfilled else it only leads to poverty and worsens the conditions with increase in misdeed.

It has also been declared that half of the funds have been generated by private organizations and the other half have been raised from government support and various NGO’s.

Also Ameris bank has supported the cause with $11400. Keisha Lance Bottoms is very happy with her achievement hand has quoted it as one of the biggest achievements of hers since she has become the mayor of the city. The plan was announced in the year 2017 and since then efforts were being made to complete it as soon as possible.

With Atlanta still being far away from the number of homeless as compared to many other cities it was a major concern for the mayor and we hope other cities do get to eradicate the problem of homelessness as soon as possible to give a better life to its residents.
